CITB – the Construction Industry training board have invested in a Menopause Wellbeing NI ‘Menopause Awareness’ educational session for over 30 individuals.
The session, delivered at the county Antrim training venue, the base of CITB NI in Crumlin, was attended by female employees and managers as well as a good representation of male advocates.
Menopause Awareness Trainer Anne McGale RGN said:
“I was delighted to see that there was a really good representation of men at the CITB NI Menopause Awareness training session in Crumlin.
Male advocacy is of the utmost importance in breaking the taboo of menopause in Northern Ireland.
I founded Menopause Wellbeing NI to help women, following my own experience and realisation of lack of education and support for local women and I am committed to helping both women and men understand this stage of life.
I am actively working as a practice nurse in women’s health and I look forward to delivering more sessions for organisations – from both the private and public sector as well as charities in Northern Ireland.”
