eptember 2020 saw Allstate deliver a wellness programme to their staff. I was asked to deliver my educational programme on menopause via Zoom – it would not be my choice of education but during Covid19 – however, it is the most acceptable and safest ways to engage with others. There were 20 candidates who took part in the workshop and was attended by one male who was most welcome and hopefully more men will avail of this important information.
We are all educated in school about puberty which is a natural process, however, when individuals have more commitments in employment, caring responsibilities and teenagers, we are not given any preparation for this change which impacts physically, emotionally and mentally on the individual.
I received excellent feedback from Allstates and they are participating in a pilot with me on a new skill which I will be offering via Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Managing the Menopause in January 2021. I will be offering this to the public from early in the 2021.
